ABOUT
STEM Champion is an enterprise, created by university students, which intends to solve an ever-increasing issue; the decline in students pursuing STEM occupations. We aim to remove the preconceptions towards STEM industries by giving students more exposure to the fundamentals and applications within those fields. By challenging the stereotypes about STEM careers we are helping children build their own STEM identity. Through our affiliation with the National STEM Learning Centre, we aim to work with employers and Higher Education Institutions to provide STEM encounters with young people.
Using a “by students, for students” approach to tailor our services, we have young individuals from university societies and companies leading the interactive sessions.

Educational Conferences
We organise high impact educational conferences with a learner-centred pedagogical approach. Most of the activities during the conference are designed such that students will engage with each other at the conference, allowing the university students to facilitate rather than direct.
John Kitchingman, EuroNorth Managing Director at Dassault Systèmes
I’m loving the STEM Champion format…The games. The way in which they create interest in the subject matter. The way they challenge student thinking. The fact that the activities are geared fully to the curriculum of schools as well.
Sarah Myers, Regional Network Lead at STEM Learning
If you study STEM subjects the doors don't get closed on you. They get opened. That's the story I want to tell people. The STEM Ambassador programme and STEM Champion provide STEM role models to raise aspirations and show students the value of STEM careers.
Student, Bottisham Village College
It’s definitely shown me that the people who are succeeding have a lot of passion for what they do, so that’s motivated me to really pursue my goals.
